Connecting your wireless PSP or Nintendo DS to the network
PSP
- Turn on your PSP and go to the network settings option.
- Choose the option to create a new connection. Give this new connection
a name (e.g., school, JWU, etc).
- For "WLAN Settings", choose "Scan".
- You should see an SSID listed as "WIFIJWU", press X.
- The next screen will show the settings for this connection; keep the
defaults and press X to save the settings.
- Press "test" to make sure the connection is setup correctly.
- Now that the connection is setup, you need to login to the network.
- Using the PSP browser, go to any page on the internet (e.g., google.com).
- You will be redirected to the J&W NAC login page. You may see a
window popup that says "Java Script will open a new page in a different
tab. Do you want to continue?" Choose "Yes".
- Login to the J&W NAC page using your email ID and password.
- Your PSP device should now be able to access the internet.
Nintendo DS and DS Lite
The Nintendo DS does not have an Internet browser. Since you are required
to open a browser and enter your password to get on the J&W network,
Nintendo DS will not recognize the Access Point. See Nintendo's
website.
The only way to connect your Nintendo DS to the Internet would be to purchase
a Nintendo
Wi-Fi USB Connector, which uses your computer's Internet connection
to access the Internet.
