Email Account Information

Spam Management You will receive a Spam Summary Report in your Outlook Inbox daily* if someone sends you messages that the service flags as possible "junk" or "spam". This report will contain a list of all the messages the service has prevented from reaching your Inbox (quarantined).

Please take the time to review your Spam Summary Report. There is a small chance that an important email will be quarantined.

You have 2 weeks to view your quarantined email. Quarantined mail is maintained by the service for 14 days; after that time the items are removed by the McAfee Spam Guard service and will not be retrievable. The sender of any non-delivered email receives notification that their email was undeliverable.

Spam Summary Report example

When reviewing your Spam Summary Report you have 4 choices:

Release Clicking "Release" on the Spam Summary Report will release this email item from the quarantined location and deliver it to your inbox. The next time you receive email from this sender it will again be quarantined and will appear in your Spam Summary Report.
Allow Clicking "Allow" will add the sender to your Allow Sender's list and you will always receive email from this address with no filtering. (The Allow Sender's List is a list of email addresses which you always receive email from, with no filtering.)
Deny Clicking "Deny" will delete the message from the quarantined location and permanently disallow email from this email address from reaching your inbox by adding it to your Deny Sender's List. After selecting "Deny" you will no longer receive any email from this address.) The Deny Sender's List is a list of email addresses which will automatically be blocked by the service. You will not receive email from these addresses; therefore emails from these addresses will never again appear in your Spam Summary Report.)
Delete All Clicking this selection will delete all messages in your Spam Summary Report from the quarantined location but you will continue to receive email from the addresses listed in this particular Spam Summary Report next time they email you.

* Note: You can change the frequency of the Spam Summary Report.
