Wildcat E-mail on your Mobile Device

Office 365 makes it easy to access email anywhere anytime. If your mobile phone or device supports Exchange ActiveSync you will be able to access and synchronize your e-mail, calendar, tasks, and contacts. The instructions below will assist you in setting up your mobile device to access your email account.

The following information is needed when setting up email on any mobile device.

Email: emailname@wildcats.jwu.edu
(emailname format will be abc123 or tsmith01)


Username: username@jwu.edu
(in this case, @jwu.edu is part of your username)

If your mobile device cannot auto detect your settings you will need to supply the server information listed below.

Server: pod51011.outlook.com

NOTE: You MUST go back into your settings on your phone and update your JWU password anytime it has been changed. Failure to do so could result in your account being locked from too many unsuccessful login attempts.

Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch

  1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.
  2. Tap Microsoft Exchange.
  3. Enter your Email address, Username, and Password in the boxes as shown below. Leave the Domain box empty.
  4. Tap next on the upper-right corner of the screen. Your iPhone will try to find the settings it needs to set up your account. If your phone can't find the settings you will need to manually type in type pod51011.outlook.com in the server name box.
  5. Tap next again.
  6. Choose the type of information you want (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders) to synchronize between your account and your device, and then Tap Save. By default, Mail, Contacts, and Calendar information are synchronized.

Android

Please review instructions for setting up your Android device here. Due to the number of android devices and operating system versions your screens may vary.

When using the Mobile Phone Setup Wizard select "Setup Microsoft Exchange E-Mail on an Android Phone" from the "What would you like to do?" box.

Blackberry

  1. From the BlackBerry home screen, click BlackBerry Setup > Set up Internet E-mail > Add An Email Account > Other
  2. Type your e-mail address (emailname@wildcats.jwu.edu) and password, and then click next.
  3. Your BlackBerry will try to set up your e-mail account automatically. If setup completes successfully go to the next step.
  4. Click OK to complete the setup.

Other Mobile Devices

For all other mobile devices, please click here and select your device. If available, always select the Set up Microsoft Exchange E-Mail option
